Information Design: Infographic Rubrics

Information Design: Infographic Rubrics
[A good and bad Infographic Rubrics]

The importance of infographics are to attract attention and make info easier to understand.
Below are the examples of good and bad info graphics that I found around me.

Good
I found this at One Utama's carpark
*Simple and clear
*Useful and functional
It reminds general audience to SECURE YOUR VEHICLE! and it really works.
[Real life example: My mother left her IPad in the back seat, this infographic reminds her about that and then she back to car and keep it.]

Bad
This is located at USJ 2.
The big problem is the sign shouldn't place here and this made drivers confuse.
The traffic light show U-turn, the sign show cannot make a U-turn.

Lecturer asked us to find a good and a bad example only, but the bad infographics are everywhere.
So, here's another bad example.
This is located at Bukit Tinggi.
The sign show cannot make a U-turn, but U-turn is the only way!

I think Malaysia need to improve how to set the sign at the correct place.

  1. For the bad examples of info design, what can you use from the rubric to describe it?
